The COMBI-D580 and COMBI-D580GM combined mowers consist of three mowing elements with 5 discs, one frontal and two lateral, for front linkage to a tractor with front P.T.O.
The strength of the combined mowers lies in the possibility of mowing over a width of up to 5.8 m, with a consequent high production rate.
To increase the quality of the fodder, the COMBI-D580GM model is provided with rubber roller conditioner, which reduces drying and haymaking times.
For road transport of your mower, the side elements are lifted by means of hydraulic pistons. Combined disc mowers are ideal for hilly or undulating ground. This type of mowing bar with rounded flattened shape, in which the blades rotate close to the upper edge and contra-rotating blade, prevents accumulation of soil between the hay mown, reducing impurities in the fodder. In addition it ensures uniform distribution of the load on the ground and optimal protection of the soil and turf.
The hydraulic and electronic control unit ensures that the pressure on the ground is constant and that the mowing equipment floats, reducing wear of the parts subject to friction.
The control unit operates the controls for opening and closing the elements for road transport or mowing. The hydraulic system lifts the mower from the ground by 35° and facilitates manoeuvring operations.
The hydraulic control unit has been constructed in compliance with the current European regulations, for example it is provided with check valve for control of the oil flow.
Via the two pressure gauges, the correct pressure necessary to guarantee floating of the three mowing elements can be monitored and the inlet pressure for optimal management of the opening and closing movements regulated.
To accelerate the drying process and produce optimal quality fodder, the mowers can be provided with a conditioner with helical rubber rollers (Chevron type), where both the rollers are drive rollers due to the dual transmission. This eliminates the risk of clogging.
The conditioner is self-cleaning with closed box transmission in an oil bath. As the fodder passes through the rollers, it is compressed and this opens the outer waxy layer of the stems, so that the excess water flows out, while maintaining the body and all the nutritional elements.
Due to the shape of the rollers, the fodder is pressed and split at regular intervals of 5-6 cm throughout its length
